Weichai engines are a diverse line of durable, economical and unpretentious diesel or gas power units designed to power the drive systems of wheeled vehicles, civil fleet vessels and electric generator sets. The company pays considerable attention to environmental safety; emissions comply with the international Euro II, Euro III, Euro IV and Euro V standards.

Weichai internal combustion engines differ in design depending on the specific type of equipment in which they will be operated.

In particular, engines for heavy trucks are represented by the WP10 and WP12 series, covering a power range of 270…570 hp. Medium-duty trucks can be fitted with the WP6 and WP7 series with a power range of 180…300 hp, as well as the WP4 series with a power range of 135...165 hp. These models are produced using German technologies and are characterized by high torque, quick starting with excellent acceleration, and resistance to high loads. The fuel system of the WP7 series engines was developed by Weichai Power jointly with AVL and BOSCH. The WP4 series, like the WP3 and WP2, with outputs of 50 ... 150 hp, can be used in light trucks. The 4-cylinder Weichai "Core Power" engines feature a unique twin-shaft balancing mechanism that effectively reduces engine block vibration and lowers noise.

High-speed engine series such as WP4, WP6, WD10, WD12, WP12 and M26 are used in fast boats and yachts as main or auxiliary power units. The medium-speed CW200 and 250 series engines are mainly used in engineering vessels, passenger ships, fishing vessels or bulk carriers as main or auxiliary engines. MAN engines L16/24, L21/31, L27/38, L32/40 and V32/40 are mainly used in bulk carriers, engineering vessels, marine traffic management vessels or multipurpose vessels as main engines, electric propulsion engines or auxiliary engines.

Weichai engines are delivered to the customer in a sturdy wooden crate with an inner cushioning layer. Before entering service, the units undergo multi-stage testing at maximum possible power and in modes with various artificially simulated conditions.
